Savant Introduces the ROSIE Touch 20 and 24

September, 2008– Savant Systems LLC, having led the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced the introduction of the ROSIE Touch 20 and 24 tabletop touch panels. Each of these iMac®–based user interfaces is ideal for navigating and controlling audio, video, lighting, HVAC, and other subsystems throughout the home. Both components serve equally well as convenient home computing stations.
The HD resolution ROSIE Touch 20 & 24 support the same dynamic control capabilities as Savant's suite of ROSIE touch panels, and the all–in–one design includes an integrated video camera, microphone and speakers, enabling video chatting, surveillance, and various future applications and services. "The ROSIE Touch 20 & 24 are the perfect dual–purpose solution–elegant all–in–one desktop computer and whole–house control interface," stated Savant's President Jim Carroll. "The sleek design of the Touch 20 & 24 will blend superbly with just about any décor, and the brilliant graphics create a user interface that is nothing short of astonishing," Carroll added.
The ROSIE Touch 20 & 24 can also display full–motion video from external sources such as cable and satellite TV, security cameras, DVD players and video servers all on the touch screen display. Each model can be paired with a wireless keyboard and mouse to facilitate computer functions as well as complete iTunes® media management.
The ROSIE Touch 20 & 24 offer versatile home control capabilities in an elegant form factor–all buttons are configurable for single and multiple functions, and with a palette of integrated selectable screen motifs, the interactive display can be designed to match the décor of any room. Each model features an anodized aluminum frame and glass cover, giving these highly functional control portals a striking appearance.
